The Future Is Now: Must-Have Tools for Women
My best girlfriend and I embarked on a journey of personal and professional growth at the She's Unstoppable summit on 22 August.

We saw this as the beginning of an annual tradition, a commitment to continuous learning and personal development. We even joked about potentially expanding our 'unstoppable circle' in the future, inviting more like-minded women to join us on this empowering path.
With that in mind, let me share some of the valuable insights I gained from this empowering experience.
Summary of the Summit
Featuring Sage Robbins, a renowned thought leader dedicated to unlocking the transformative power of an awakened heart, the summit brought together a community of unstoppable individuals. This gathering served as an invitation to awaken the extraordinary woman within each of us.
In the summit, we attempt:
To discover who SHE is, really?
To discover HER inner power, the essence of HER
To claim HER, restore HER, embrace HER, allow HER, honor HER, accept HER
To make space for the sacred pause to take care of HER
The lineup of speakers featured extraordinary women who defied limits, embraced their authentic selves, and lived lives of purpose and fulfillment:
Sage Robbins: Speaker, philanthropist, and advocate for personal growth, holistic wellness, and the transformative power of love and compassion
Tyra Banks: Best-selling author, philanthropist, and creator/host of the TV show "America's Next Top Model”
Hayley Erbert Hough: “So You Think You Can Dance" alum and “Dancing with the Stars” troupe dancer
Derek Hough: Multi-time "Dancing with the Stars" champion and Emmy Award-winning choreographer
Bari Baumgardner: Founder and CEO of Sage Event Management, speaker and business coach
Maria Menounos: Emmy-winning journalist, author, actress, brain cancer survivor and host of the podcast “Heal Squad”
The speakers were truly remarkable, achieving extraordinary success in their respective fields. However, what most impressed me was their ability to maintain a sense of balance while juggling multiple demanding roles. I was captivated by their stories and insights.
During her speech, Bari Baumgardner delivered a powerful message: "All the speakers here are about saying yes to you. Your 'yes' is the first step to being unstoppable."
Yes, read that again.
Everyone around you is about saying yes to you. Your “yes” is the first step to being unstoppable.
This message resonated deeply with me, especially as a fellow female warrior navigating the challenges of wearing many hats and struggling to find equilibrium in my busy life. The summit provided invaluable tools to help us on our journey toward becoming unstoppable.
What does being unstoppable mean?
Being unstoppable doesn’t mean you’re never afraid...
Being unstoppable means breaking down the barriers you've constructed around your authentic self and embracing the life you were destined to live.
It's recognising that your emotions are just experiences, not reflections of reality. The voices in your head, the insecurities, the self-doubt—these are echoes of fear, not limitations on your capabilities.
The truth is, you possess far more potential than you realise. Deep within you lies an unstoppable woman who is confident, resilient, and ready to share her light with the world.
To unleash this extraordinary woman, you must tear down the barriers that hold you back.
The struggle?
Many women face challenges that limit their potential. These can include toxic relationships (negative influences), negative thought patterns (limiting thoughts), and self-imposed limitations (controlling situations).
The solution.
You must uproot the controlling and limiting beliefs that keep you trapped.
Tools for Transformation:
While this may sound easier said than done, effective tools can help you achieve this transformation. Let's explore some of them.
3 tools from Serena Williams
Serena Williams, a former American tennis champion and entrepreneur, embodies the spirit of an unstoppable woman. As a mother, athlete, wife, and businesswoman, she strives for excellence in all aspects of her life. Her unwavering belief that her greatest accomplishments are yet to come drives her forward.
When discussing mental health, Serena emphasises the importance of #1 setting boundaries, #2 accepting imperfect days, and overcoming self-doubt. She understands that it's impossible to be the best version of yourself every day, and that everyone experiences doubts along the way. By acknowledging these challenges and refusing to let them derail her progress, Serena demonstrates the power of resilience.
Rather than focusing on stress or busyness, Serena believes that #3 life supports her journey. She finds magic in shifting her perspective and realising that she has the ability to return to herself at any moment. This mindset allows her to maintain balance and continue to grow.
Question from the audience: How do I turn my pain into my power?
Answer from Serena & Sage:
“Pain is for us, to break us into a million pieces, and so that we have the opportunity to be resurrected. On the other side of pain, you will be truly humbled for you are now literally on your knees begging and unable to go on. Stories and narratives of how "it shouldn't have happened" replay in your mind in a loop-fashion, but in reality - you are here, and you've made it. The reality is disjointed from the narrative played in your mind. You have to make a choice about your circumstances. You can start by asking yourself how has the greatest pain/trauma blessed you?"
5 tools from Bari Baumgardner
Bari Baumgardner, founder of SAGE Event Management and Strategic Advice for Growing Events, introduced a powerful concept: #1 our inner voice. This internal guide speaks to us at pivotal moments, offering valuable insights and guidance. She emphasised that everyone possesses this inner voice and encouraged us to #2 take a sacred pause to its wisdom.
This voice often speaks in phrases like:
"It could be better."
"That's not my life."
"This could be my life."
"I am meant for more."
"I am the sum of all my parts."
"This is where it doubles in size."
"This is where I claim my life."
"This is where I become who I am meant to be."
"This is where my business explodes."
Bari posed a thought-provoking question to the audience: "Who believes they are meant for more?"
If you answered yes, she followed up with, "Who do you need to be? What do you need to do to be unstoppable?"
She highlighted the #3 transformative power of conscious choice. Every decision, from the smallest to the most significant, shapes who we are today and who we will become tomorrow. We are the architects of our own lives. Our choices, whether intentional or subconscious, determine whether we become victims or victors, passive observers or active creators.
Bari urged us to embrace a #4 life by design rather than by default. Choose your path intentionally and take ownership of your destiny. Don't let the world dictate your choices. Be true to yourself, listen to your inner voice, and make decisions that align with your vision and values.
Ask yourself:
Who you are
Who are you being
How are you showing up
The answers to these questions will lead to choices and ultimately, your truth.
Ah yes, truth.
“We often ask everyone around us for the truth, yet we know the truth, because there’s no universal truth. There’s your truth; and there’s my truth.”
Remember, your truth is unique. Don't let others dictate your path. Self-love means #5 honouring your "yes" and "no", and refusing to compromise your authenticity.
By making conscious choices today, you can pave the way for an unstoppable future. As you continue on this journey, remember that you chose to be here, to read this newsletter, and to work towards becoming unstoppable.
Fully commit to your path and embrace the power of your choices.
“Following in the footsteps of a powerful woman” from Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks, a renowned model, television personality, and businesswoman, attributed her success to her mother's unwavering strength. Her mother served as a powerful role model, inspiring Tyra to develop a fearless spirit and a drive for excellence.
Key tools her mother instilled in her included:
Tunnel vision focus: Maintaining a singular focus on goals.
Milestone orientation: Setting clear milestones and tracking progress.
Transparency and honesty: Openly discussing challenges and successes.
With her mother's guidance and support, Tyra discovered an inner calling to "knock down doors" and "be a pioneer."
The future Tyra became a strong woman who embraced challenges and setbacks as stepping stones on her journey. Today, she reflects on her past with immense satisfaction, recognizing that the pain she endured was well worth the rewards she achieved.
4 tools on overcoming adversities in life from Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert
Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert, professional dancers and partners, shared a deeply personal experience of strength and resilience. In December 2023, Hayley was hospitalised for a cranial hematoma after experiencing disorientation during the Symphony of Dance tour. Despite a challenging recovery, she has shown remarkable progress.
The couple emphasised the importance of mindset and emotional management during difficult times. They advised focusing on #1 what we can control and acknowledging and embracing our fears.
Derek and Hayley also shared the power of #2 drawing strength from loved ones. Their support network played a crucial role in their recovery.
A valuable insight they discovered was the impact of mindset on our emotional state. Our bodies often struggle to differentiate between reality and imagination. By #3 cultivating a mindset of gratitude and focusing on positive aspects, we can shift our emotional state from negativity to positivity. This can be a powerful tool for overcoming fear and doubt.
They also observed that #4 gratitude and grace are interconnected. The more gratitude we acknowledge, the more grace we receive.
The reframing challenge by Tony Robbins (special guest)
Tony Robbins, a renowned motivational speaker and life coach, introduced the transformative technique of reframing. This involves challenging negative thought patterns and adopting a more positive perspective.
Robbins suggested asking yourself these three powerful questions:
Where is the good in this situation?
By focusing on the positive aspects, we can shift our perspective and find opportunities for growth. We can delve deeper by considering:
What do I have?
What is missing?
What are possible solutions?
What does this experience teach me?
Reflecting on challenges can provide valuable lessons and insights. When reflecting, we must choose where to focus: the past, present or future.
What actions can I take to move forward?
Identifying actionable steps helps us regain control and progress towards our goals. This question also helps us differentiate between what is within and outside our control.

So, there you have it—a quick recap of the five-hour summit. You've got some great tools and insights. But let's be real, the most important thing is taking action.
The most crucial tool is behavioral change.
Every time you finish a book or article, ask yourself, "What am I going to do differently now?" If the answer's nothing, you're just wasting your time.
The first step to becoming unstoppable is making a choice to commit to a change in your behavior. It's all about walking the talk.
